Brian Rauscher, WSUV’s Career Counselor, has invited all interested DTC students to submit a one-page Word document of their resume. This document will be included in WSUV’s “Resume Book,” which will be sent to area employers in conjunction with the university’s Career Fair.
All students have to do is email the document as an attachment to career@vancouver.wsu.edu. Brian says that if any of students need help in preparing it, he or she can request an appointment with Brian by emailing or calling him at 546-9155. The deadline is for the one-page resume is Monday, February 5th.
He also said that Career Services would love to get as many DTC resumes as possible.
Students interested in getting involved in the DTC Club should meet Wednesday, January 31 from noon-1 pm in MMC 23. This meeting marks its first for the spring semester.
If you cannot make the meeting but still want to get involved, contact Dr. Dene Grigar at grigar@vancouver.wsu.edu or x69487, and let her know.
Students who were unable to attend the 2007 DTC Town Hall Meeting can view a slide show of the event––and you have two choices for viewing:
1. Downloadable Power Point Slides.
This choice allows you to get to the hyperlinks included in the slide show. I noticed when I opened them after downloading them that some of the links got a little funky in the transmission, but you should be able to get to the important links just fine.
2. Website.
This choice allows you to view slides on a website located externally from your computer (i.e. nothing downloads to your computer). But it also means you cannot use the hyperlinks. Go to: http://www.vancouver.wsu.edu/programs/dtc/town_hall_web.html
I am also making a short video about the Media Authoring concentration. I will be working on one for each of the other two concentrations. Be patient. These things take time and I have only been directing the DTC for a few months.
The video is 1:14 minutes in length but is at a fairly good quality. It may take a few minutes to download. It will be available soon at: http://www.vancouver.wsu.edu/programs/dtc/video/media_authoring.mov
Just a reminder that the Town Hall meeting that was canceled last Wednesday due to the snow is rescheduled for Wednesday, January 24 from noon-1 p.m. The room also changed. It is now VLIB 265.
Be there or be square.
The Town Hall scheduled for Wednesday at noon today, Wednesday, January 17th, will be postponed until next Wednesday due to the University closure for inclement weather.
