Job Summary: To direct the services of our Online department working closely with the IT Manager. The Web Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining online work closely with both the Advertising and Editorial departments to coordinate delivery of content for readers and advertising vehicles for customers. The person is this position must be visionary and able to look to the future to access needs and opportunities for revenue and user growth.

Technological Skills Needed: Proficient in standard design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Quark). Familiar with html, streaming audio/video, PHP, CSS, and Java Script. Excellent layout/graphic design and problem-solving skills. Practices efficient production and optimization habits. Self-motivated and a good communicator. Comfortable following direction. Balances great design skills with meeting short deadlines. Ability to work on multiple projects. Works independently as well as collaboratively.
