A special workshop entitled Introduction to Flash will be held on Friday, February 16, 10-12 in VMMC 111. Taught by Jeannette Altman, is open to any student in the DTC program. Students should sign up in advance for the workshop. The sign up sheet for the workshop can be found outside of John Barber's office at VMMC 102U.

Students need to turn in their MAC Required Buy polls to Dene Grigar by Friday, February 16. The results of the polls will be announced on this blog.

Currently, one can request extra funding (student loans) to purchase a computer/software-how would this be different?

I have not had an answer to that question, but I will ask it again today.

Any idea when we can expect an answer? I didnt fill out the Mac Poll, as I didnt have the neccessary info to form a real opinion.

I am compiling the results now. My next step is to go to upper administrators to talk about federal guidelines, university support, assistance for students without financial aid, etc. After I gather all of the data, I will have to make an informed decision. But as I have tried to show, students' opinions mattered first before any others. I started with you guys.

If the deal cannot be a good one for all, then we will not do it.
