The DTC Program is looking to host a "field trip" to Interactive Futures 2007, to be held in Victoria, Canada on November 15-18. This conference, chaired by Steve Gibson, Julie Andreyev, and Randy Adams is one of the best conferences in North America for media arts. There are a lot of festivals that focus on specific areas of the media arts (PICA's Time Based Arts, for example). But Interactive Futures is one of the only annual general "international" art-based and academic conferences.
The website is up and located at http://cfisrv.finearts.uvic.ca/interactivefutures/IF07/.
Read through the information and let me know if this would be something you all would be interested in.
FYI: Steve is one of the three artists who is coming to WSUV to teach DTC 477 "Advanced Multimedia Authoring" this fall. He will be here from September 20-November 1.
